There some neat pages everyone should check out:
Shopping: Comics: Cars: Search Engines:
Shopping on the web is the best. You can find stuff at any time of day,
usually get great prices, and best of all, find all kinds of rare stuff.
The best stuff to buy on the web, CDs and of course computer stuff.
For good prices and nice selection on anything computer related, I love:
They have a great search engine, their page isn't too slow, they tell you
what's in stock, and they let you check out there products out without registering.
That's makes for easy shopping (plus their prices are great!!).
For all kinds of CDs cheap, check out:
They have another excellent search engine, good prices, and
everthing for audio and video. There page is a bit confusing in layout,
but once you get used to, you love it.
When I'm stuck at work, and I need a break, I pull up one of these
cartoon pages for some quick amusement.
This page is small, quick to load, and a lot of fun.
The archives aren't to big, but there is still a lot to laugh at.
Dilbert is the my favorite cartoon. This page has great, beautifully done cartoons.
But, it sort of sucks, cause there is to much crap on the page. Lots of ads,
to many useless images. Plus I think the navigation is awkard and unintuitive.
If you are thinking of buying a car the place to go is:
They have everthing you need to arm yourself before
buying a new or used car. From all the invoice and dealer prices,
to feature and reviews. Plus, this site is very speedy. Only downside,
sometimes its hard to navigate through the billions of links.
Finally, if you want to figure out what sites are out there, you need to be
able to find them. My favorites:
AltaVista always finds what you're looking for. The exotic, rare references
are all there. The page is small, and quick to the point. The speed is great. However,
often with AltaVista, you get way to many responses. Wading through everything
can sometime take forever.
Infoseek is a more general search engine. It looks at things with more filtering,
and tends to return less, but better information. It also allows you to search Usenet
easily and quickly. Finally there is a nice set of major preset topics to choose from.
Search.Com is the all inclusive searching page. All kinds of search engines,
and prebuilt directories are tied to this page. It is an all exhaustive source for
finding information. However, it tends to be slow to load, and a little more
cumbersome to use. I still use it for my home page.
